Brief
History
Benjamin (Benno) Shallou is the Younger brother
of Sargis, Wilson and Wiliam Shalou.
He
was born in 1938 in Habbaniya (R.A.F). He was 10 years old when he
first played soccer in Habbaniya school.
When he was 15 years old, he joined the Assyrian Employee's Club at
Habbaniya and was selected to play with the 2nd team that included greats
like Edison David. Later, he was selected for the 1st team (AEC) with
Edison.
In 1956, they both joined Baghdad Transportation Services Soccer Team
alongside the Assyrian great of that time like Hormoz Gabriel, Youeil
Givargis, Kako Shallou, Sargis Shallou.
In 1957, He joined the Assyrian Sports Club in Baghdad along with his
brother Sargis.
He retired from playing soccer after 5 years as he got married and for the
last 36 years he have been a resident of Modesto, California, USA. |
